The Knotty Pine Lodge is an open concept spacious retreat offering privacy and many great amenities. Located on the Cabot Trial minutes from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, hiking trails, golf courses, beaches, kayaking, paddle boarding, whale watching, snowmobile trails and much more. The solid wood lodge sits on a private wooded lot that features spectacular panoramic mountain & ocean views with astonishing star-gazing at night. Guests who overnight with us at Knotty Pine Lodge will have full and complete access to the Lodge itself. *Note, that access to the detached garage is not permitted. We do our very best to supply guests with as much information as possible prior to arrival, however we understand that questions may come up throughout your stay. Know that as hosts we can gladly be reached via Airbnb messenger at any point during a stay. We want all of our guests to enjoy the Lodge and surrounding areas as much as we do. Knotty Pine Lodge is minutes away from downtown Cheticamp. Cheticamp village offers a variety of amenities such as local restaurants, bakeries, cafes, food trucks, a grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, gas stations, hospital, clinic and so much more. *Note, that some of the restaurants and food trucks tend to close during the winter months. We strongly recommend calling in advance for operating hours should you stay with us in the area off-season. The best way to travel is by car. - After crossing the Canso Causeway bridge, head north on NS-105 E towards Whycocomagh for approximately 30 km.
- Turn left onto the Cabot Trail (signs for Margaree Harbour).
- Follow the Cabot Trail for approximately 45 km.
- The destination will be on the left.
From Sydney, NS:
- Head northwest on NS-125 W towards Exit 3B.
- Take Exit 3B for Trans-Canada Highway/NS-105 W towards Baddeck/Whycocomagh.
- Merge onto NS-105 W and continue for approximately 70 km.
- Turn right onto the Cabot Trail (signs for Margaree Harbour).
- Follow the Cabot Trail for approximately 45 km.
- The destination will be on the left.
From Ingonish, NS:
- Head south on the Cabot Trail towards Neil's Harbour and signs for Chéticamp.
- Follow the Cabot Trail for approximately 48 km through Cheticamp.
- Approx 5 minutes past the large church,the destination will be on the right.
